What You Will Do – Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Customer Experience & Inside Sales Specialist, you will play a central role in delivering an outstanding customer journey from the very first interaction. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Serve Every Customer with Excellence: Handle inbound and outbound calls with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency, providing first-contact resolution for customer concerns related to lost, stolen, damaged, or malfunctioning devices.
  • Sell Smart Home and Protection Solutions: Identify customer needs and recommend the right product for each unique situation, including device protection plans, tech support packages, and our flagship Connected Home smart home product. Every call is an opportunity to add value.
  • Educate and Inform: Clearly explain product features, device capabilities, wireless carrier offerings, and company policies so customers can make confident, informed decisions.
  • Drive Performance Goals: Consistently meet or exceed individual and team sales targets, customer satisfaction scores, and quality benchmarks.
  • Document and Track: Accurately record customer interactions, sales outcomes, and issue resolutions in our CRM and call center software systems.
  • Escalate When Needed: Identify complex or sensitive cases and route them to the appropriate tier of support, ensuring every customer receives the right level of care.
  • Embrace Feedback and Growth: Actively participate in coaching sessions, training programs, and performance reviews to continuously improve your craft.
  • Adapt to Business Needs: Flex your approach based on customer preferences, seasonal campaigns, and evolving product offerings to deliver the best possible experience.

What You Bring to the Team – Essential Qualifications

We are looking for driven, coachable, and resourceful professionals who are ready to make an immediate impact. To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Prior customer service experience, preferably in a call center, retail, or sales-driven environment.
  • A genuine desire to upsell and cross-sell products in a consultative manner.
  • Strong retention and recall abilities to memorize product features, pricing, and customer information.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple customer issues simultaneously.
  • A friendly, professional, and respectful communication style, with a knack for de-escalating tense situations and showing empathy.
  • High flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of customers and the business.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to maintain speed and accuracy under pressure.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and a commitment to resolving customer issues on the first call whenever possible.
  • A reliable track record of attendance and performance.
  • The ability to sit and work at a computer for 4 to 8 hours per day in a remote setting, using a headset approximately 90% of the time.
  • Basic computer literacy, including typing at 25–35 words per minute and the ability to learn call center software quickly.
  • A passing score on our hiring assessment, which evaluates soft-skill scenarios and product knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of (or willingness to learn) multiple operating systems, including Windows, Android, BlackBerry OS, and Apple iOS, along with wireless technology fundamentals.

Preferred Qualifications – Nice to Have

  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish (or other languages) are a strong plus.
  • Prior inside sales, telesales, or upselling experience in a metrics-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms, ticketing systems, or remote collaboration tools.
  • Previous experience working from home in a remote customer service role.

  • Guaranteed Base Pay: $18 per hour from day one, with paid training and offline time (meetings, coaching sessions) at the same hourly rate.
  • Pay-Per-Experience Model: After completing training, you will transition to a performance-based pay structure where you earn for every completed customer conversation.
  • Top Earner Potential: Our highest-performing specialists regularly earn $28+ per hour, with unlimited upside based on your drive and results.
