About the Role
As a Data Entry Associate at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in supporting one of our valued healthcare clients by processing incoming medical claim forms with precision and care. Your primary responsibility will be to digitize, validate, and input claim information using the proprietary systems and forms provided by arenaflex. Each document you process contributes to the seamless operation of healthcare services that affect real lives, making your work both meaningful and impactful.
This is a fully remote position based out of San Antonio, TX, offering you the flexibility to work from home while being part of a collaborative and supportive team. The starting pay is $15.00 per hour, along with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, well-being, and financial future.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture and validate complex data from healthcare claim forms with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
- Perform image classification and indexing to ensure documents are properly organized and accessible within company systems.
- Pre-adjudicate documents and make necessary corrections to data as required, following established protocols.
- Verify data extracted through automated tools, cross-referencing information to confirm accuracy and completeness.
- Utilize various proprietary systems and platforms to complete assigned tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Complete assignments by referencing multiple source documents to verify data or gather additional information needed for accurate processing.
- Work within established procedures and best practices to maintain consistency and quality across all tasks.
- Operate under close supervision while demonstrating the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive healthcare information in accordance with HIPAA and company policies.
- Meet daily, weekly, and monthly productivity targets while maintaining an exceptionally low error rate.
Work Schedule and Flexibility
As a member of our dedicated team, you should be willing to work one of the following assigned shifts, Monday through Friday:
- Shift 1: 6:00 AM CST – 2:00 PM CST
- Shift 2: 11:00 AM CST – 7:00 PM CST
- Shift 3: 2:00 PM CST – 10:00 PM CST

Essential Qualifications
To succeed as a Data Entry Associate at arenaflex, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Typing Proficiency: Must be able to type at least 45+ words per minute (WPM) with a high level of accuracy.
- 10-Key by Touch: Demonstrated proficiency in 10-key numeric entry by touch.
- Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet research capabilities.
- Performance Under Pressure: Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines while consistently performing tasks with a high accuracy rate.
- Speed Benchmarks: Must maintain or exceed 4,000 KSPH (keystrokes per hour) for numeric data and 2,500 KSPH for alpha/numeric data with less than 1% error rate.
- Technical Setup: Previous experience working through a VPN connection is required.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Background Checks: Must be able to clear any necessary criminal background checks and/or drug screenings.
Preferred Qualifications

- Basic knowledge of medical claims form processing, including HCFA-1500 and UB-04 forms.
- Previous experience in a data entry role within the healthcare, insurance, or financial services industries.

- Experience working with document management systems and optical character recognition (OCR) tools.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
