If you're a specialist with expertise in information security technologies, intrusion detection, assessment tools, encryption, and application development, we have the perfect opportunity for you. We are looking for a Cyber Security Administrator at the Governor's Office of Information Technology for the State of Colorado. In this role, you will take on new environments, tools, or networks and address how to operationalize new and existing security policies, ensure new environments are compliant, automate scanning and logging in, and design how activities will be implemented. But that's not all. You will have the opportunity to work with existing tools and implement new ones. Additionally, you will create standard controls and assist with other tasks as necessary. - Develop different types of security tools.
- Ensure IT environment domains are secure.
- Address any issues, events, incidents, vulnerabilities, or weaknesses.
- Implement and follow cybersecurity policies, standard pools, and best practices.
- With audit findings, assist with the remediation of compliance issues and vulnerabilities that have been found via analysis.

The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and state seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. The required minimum qualifications and/or education (if substituting for the proven experience, knowledge, and skills), are as follows: Minimum Qualifications: A minimum of three (3) years of increasingly challenging work experience in the information technology field. Substitutions:

Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated system admin experience.
- At least one professional certification to include: A+, Network+, Security+, etc. or the ability to acquire within 6 months of hire.
Conditions of Employment: OIT employees must comply with any screening procedures in place at state agency locations where they might perform work. This position may require travel within the specified geographic area, and to locations across the state as needed.
