Key Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound member and provider calls with empathy, professionalism, and a focus on first‑call resolution.
  • Document each interaction clearly and completely, ensuring all research, actions, and outcomes are recorded in the system.
  • Identify the nature of each inquiry—benefits, eligibility, claims, billing, physician assignments, or material requests—and use arenaflex resources to resolve it promptly.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate department while maintaining ownership of the case until resolution.
  • Collaborate with care teams, field staff, and external providers to coordinate appointments, address access‑to‑care concerns, and resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Stay current on claims policies, regulatory guidelines, and industry best practices to provide accurate information.
  • Meet or exceed individual and departmental quality standards, including performance metrics, call handling times, and customer satisfaction scores.
  • Participate in ad‑hoc projects that improve operational efficiency, member experience, or team performance.
  • Adhere to arenaflex’s Telecommuter Policy, maintaining a secure, private workspace and safeguarding sensitive information.

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (or 10+ years of equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years proven customer‑service experience, preferably in a call‑center environment.
  • Ability to type at least 40 words per minute with accuracy.
  • Flexibility to work two evening shifts per week (typically 11 am–8 pm EST) and three designated holidays (day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Day).
  • Willingness to work any 8‑hour shift within arenaflex’s business hours (8 am–8 pm CST) and occasional overtime as business needs dictate.
  • Successful completion of arenaflex’s comprehensive customer‑service training program.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year experience in an automatic call distribution (ACD) call‑center setting.
  • Familiarity with CPT and ICD‑10 coding systems.
  • Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid guidelines and regulations.

  • Dedicated, private workspace separate from household traffic.
  • High‑speed internet meeting arenaflex’s approved standards (minimum 10 Mbps download, 5 Mbps upload).
