Key Responsibilities

  • Provide courteous, empathetic telephone support to patients receiving specialty drug therapy, answering questions and guiding them through the medication journey.
  • Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, including verification of insurance benefits and renewal of authorizations.
  • Enter new or refill prescriptions accurately into the pharmacy information system, ensuring all data fields are complete and compliant.
  • Collect and confirm copay amounts, communicate financial responsibilities to patients, and assist with payment arrangements when needed.
  • Collaborate with insurance carriers, health‑care providers, and internal arenaflex teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve accounts receivable or clinical issues that could delay order fulfillment.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of all interactions, updates, and resolutions within the CRM platform to support auditability and continuous improvement.
  • Escalate complex cases to senior specialists or clinical pharmacists while providing clear, concise summaries of the issue and steps already taken.
  • Stay current on arenaflex’s specialty pharmacy policies, insurance formularies, and emerging therapeutic areas to provide accurate information to patients.
  • Participate in regular training sessions, virtual workshops, and performance reviews to sharpen skills and contribute to team excellence.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year experience in a high‑volume customer service role, preferably handling complex inquiries over the phone.
  • Proficiency with Windows‑based applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, internet navigation, and email communication tools.
  • Demonstrated computer keyboarding speed and accuracy, with the ability to type at least 45 words per minute.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in customer service or health‑care support are a plus.
  • Residency in New Jersey and ability to work from a home office located within 75 miles of 180 Passaic Ave, Fairfield, NJ 07004.
