[Remote] Mechanical engineer

They are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, test, and evaluate mechanical systems for food equipment machinery, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs and optimize designs.

Responsibilities

• Work in teams on the development of concepts, testing, investigation and verification of designs
• Pay attention to the implementation of the function, cleaning aspects, reliability, safety, production technologies and cost price
• To build the maintenance and mechanical design of machinery, layouts, assemblies and components, to fulfill the design and requirements, to prepare assembly/detail drawings and part lists
• Work on the mechanical deliverables according to plan
• Make sure that the work is carried out following Company guidelines (MEDS) and international standards
• Part of the role can be to delegate tasks to engineering partners

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Technology or comparable work experience and knowledge
• Experience with or knowledge of 3D design tools
• Experience with and comfort working in multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization
• Proficiency in CAD systems such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo, or similar
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude through hands-on experience in design, testing, or troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and product development processes
• Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts and engineering principles to solve complex problems
• Familiarity with lifecycle management of design data, including CAD models, drawings, and ECNs
• 5+ years of experience in automatic, industrial food processing equipment or similar fields in product development is a nice to have
