[Remote] Manager, Engineering - Product Platform

They are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a cross-functional team of engineers in delivering foundational engineering work that enhances product value. The role involves driving collaboration, maintaining engineering quality standards, and coaching team members to ensure effective delivery of engineering initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships and regularly converse with Engineering and Product leaders across teams to proactively identify collaboration and platform opportunities
- Balance product platform delivery with foundational improvements to core services and mobile clients, ensuring scalability, reliability, and long-term sustainability
- Take a hands-on approach to delivery management, maintaining a healthy backlog, prioritizing technical debt and maintenance work, and ensuring predictable execution
- Own and elevate engineering quality standards by championing testing practices, fostering continuous improvement, and strengthening delivery rigor
- Coach and develop engineers through mentorship, performance management, and career growth support, while maintaining strong team health and engagement
Skills
- Meaningful experience managing platform or foundational engineering work in close partnership with Product and cross-functional stakeholders. Successful candidates have typically spent 2+ years in a leadership role
- Experience leading high-performing engineers through discovery and delivery of large-scale engineering initiatives
- Proven track record of delivering internal platform work across single and multi-platform environments
- Demonstrated success developing engineers through coaching, mentorship, and performance leadership
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and architectural patterns, particularly within high-traffic mobile ecosystems
- Experience building systems designed for scale, reliability, and experimentation
