[Remote] Senior Accountant, Financial Close
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in managing the month-end, quarterly, and financial closing processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and providing insights that drive growth and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Perform both routine and non-routine/complex monthly close responsibilities
- Analyze books and records on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and international statutory reporting requirements
- Liaise with external audit firm on both routine and non routine matters
- Participate in and guide the the development, implementation and maintenance of accounting policies and internal controls
- Assist in designing new processes and enhance existing ones; implement scalable processes to support the Paxos’ growth, and drive continuous improvement
- Enable Paxos to meet internal and external reporting requirements

Skills
- A minimum of 3 years of combined experience in public accounting (audit) and private/in-house accounting
- Experience in start-ups and/or financial services
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA license and strong knowledge of GAAP
- Experience overseeing and managing accounting staff
- Proficiency with NetSuite ERP or other cloud-based accounting software
- Strong drive to continuously improve the accounting operations, controls and financial reporting processes, including leveraging systems and technologies to improve workflows and scalability
- Excellent organizational, time management, communication and interpersonal skills
