[Remote] Senior Manager - Tax - Indirect Tax- Technology - Platform Lead Engineer

They are seeking a Senior Manager, Platform Operations Lead Engineer to oversee the operations of their Indirect Tax Technology platform, ensuring integration and enhancing platform functionality in collaboration with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Set and maintain application architecture standards for the platform
- Coordinate with Information Security teams during regular releases and security testing
- Collaborate with the Architecture Review Board for platform changes
- Manage and support platform changes driven by EY and external vendors
- Oversee day-to-day platform operations, ensuring reliability and performance
- Run security testing and provide guidance on remediation strategies
- Prioritize tasks and work closely with business stakeholders to align platform initiatives with business needs
- Coordinate with relevant other EY technology groups, as needed, for operational and release management support
- Manage DevOps team members and participate in future hiring as needed
- Communicate effectively with executive stakeholders to provide updates and recommendations
- Review and understand code with ability to debug code and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Deliver high-quality work within expected timeframes and on budget
- Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes
- Manage and motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds
Skills
- A bachelor's degree in technology, information systems, or computer science, and a minimum of 7 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 6 years of related work experience
- Approved certification
- Experience with front-end programming languages such as C# and .NET
- Exposure to API technologies and understanding of how APIs work
- Familiarity with AI concepts and their application in platform operations
- Proficiency in Azure and understanding of technology integration from infrastructure to application level
- Ability to review and debug code when necessary
- Strong understanding of application architecture and platform management
- Experience coordinating with Infosec and architecture teams
- Proven ability to manage relationships with vendors and internal teams
- Experience running security testing and implementing remediation strategies
- Excellent prioritization, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
- Characteristics of a forward-thinker and self-motivator that thrives on new challenges and adapts quickly to learning new skills
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with executive stakeholders
- Experience managing DevOps personnel and participating in hiring processes
- Willingness to travel as needed and work in a balanced hybrid environment
