Accountant
Integra LifeSciences is a company focused on innovating new treatment pathways to advance patient outcomes in healthcare. The Accountant position is responsible for general ledger accounting tasks, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations during the month-end close.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly journal entries, balance sheet and P&L account reconciliations as assigned
- Run various monthly reports used to reconcile or analyze general ledger account balances
- Assist in the preparation of account analyses for internal and external reporting purposes
- Analyze and explain fluctuations and trends in balance sheet and P&L accounts
- Work with internal and external auditors to provide supporting documentation and answer audit inquiries
- Communicate with other cross functional teams including IT, Shared Services A/R and A/P, Tax, FP&A, Treasury and Consolidations
- Other tasks and projects as assigned
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
- 0-3 years of corporate and/or public accounting experience
- Detail oriented with the ability to investigate and resolve problems
- Ability to analyze and reconcile financial data
- Knowledge of personal computer databases and spreadsheets
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Effective organizational skills
- Ability to work well as part of a high performing team, as needed
- CPA and/or MBA a plus
- Experience with ORACLE ERP and/or Onestream systems a plus
