Quantitative Trader
Tower Research Capital is a leading quantitative trading firm founded in 1998, known for its high-performance trading platform and independent teams. The Quantitative Trader role involves designing and deploying trading algorithms, supporting live trade strategies, and conducting research on market data to identify trading opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and deploy trading algorithms
- Support live trade strategies in production
- Research high to mid frequency alphas
- Explore trading ideas by analyzing market data, market microstructure and alternate data for patterns
- Present research results transparently and convincingly
- Create tools to analyze data for patterns and develop data platforms
- Contribute to libraries of analytical computations to support market data analysis and trading
- Develop, augment and calibrate exchange simulators

Skills
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related STEM field
- Experience may be gained from coursework or internship. Must have experience with the following:
- Derivatives pricing and stochastic calculus
- Machine Learning including LLM
- Probability Theory
- Mathematics and statistics
- Back-testing, simulation, and statistical techniques, including auto-regression, auto-correlation and Principal Component Analysis
- Data mining and analysis skills, including experience dealing with a large amount of data
- Signal generation and statistical models
- Programming skills in Python or C++
