Role Overview – External Support Engineer (Entry Level, Remote)

In this role, you will be the first point of contact when content teams encounter challenges with our proprietary toolset. You will diagnose issues, provide clear guidance, create helpful documentation, and collaborate closely with engineers to ensure that feedback loops are fast, transparent, and effective. Your contributions will directly influence the efficiency, reliability, and overall quality of the content production pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Provide prompt, courteous, and expert assistance to external content teams using arenaflex’s suite of production tools.
  • Documentation & Training: Develop clear reference guides, video tutorials, and live training sessions to accelerate onboarding and ongoing skill development for partner teams.
  • Troubleshooting & Debugging: Identify, reproduce, and resolve tool‑related issues, leveraging your ability to read and understand C# code and other relevant technologies.
  • Issue Escalation: Escalate complex problems to the tool development team, track progress, and maintain transparent communication through arenaflex’s issue‑tracking system.
  • Advocacy & Feedback: Champion the needs of external partners by gathering actionable feedback, suggesting workflow improvements, and influencing product roadmaps.
  • Collaboration: Partner with engineers, product managers, and cross‑functional teams to design and implement enhancements that boost efficiency and quality.
  • Cross‑Disciplinary Leadership: Facilitate dialogues between creative, technical, and operational stakeholders to drive feature concepts from ideation through delivery.
  • Professionalism: Model reliability, accountability, and a positive attitude in all interactions, fostering trust and confidence among internal and external partners.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, OR equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting live services or tool environments, preferably in a remote or distributed setting.
  • Familiarity with C# codebases and the ability to read and interpret source code for debugging purposes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of working effectively with external partners.
  • Excellent organizational abilities; capable of managing multiple requests, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Self‑motivated mindset with a proactive approach to problem‑solving and continuous learning.
  • Experience using arenaflex’s issue‑tracking platform (formerly known as Jira) and knowledge‑sharing hub (formerly known as Confluence).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands‑on experience with arenaflex’s proprietary 3D content creation tools (formerly Unity 3D).
  • Background in mobile development for arenaflex platforms (formerly iOS and Android), including familiarity with SDKs and deployment pipelines.
  • At least 5 years of experience delivering production‑level code in a professional environment, demonstrating a deep understanding of software lifecycle best practices.
  • Prior exposure to cloud‑based collaboration environments and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working in a globally distributed team, navigating time‑zone differences and cultural nuances.
