Overview

Our client, a major PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Services) entity owned by 20 non-profit health plans serving >33 million members and benefits manager of government programs including Medicare and Medicaid, seeks an accomplished Licensed Pharmacist. Job Title: Licensed Pharmacist IMPORTANT REMOTE / WORK-FROM-HOME RELATED:

  • CLIENT IS CONSIDERING CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS ONLY
  • Start Date: Mon, July 20 | 18 Openings
  • LOCATION: REMOTE/ WORK FROM HOME
  • DURATION: 6 months contract with possible of extension.
  • WORK SHIFTS: 5 days a week, need coverage Monday-Sunday || Start time varies between 07.00am to 01:30pm || 8 Hours per day shift.
  • There will be no graveyard/overnight shift.
  • Training: 4 weeks || Training Schedule: 08:30am - 05:00pm (Pacific Time)
  • Equipment will be provided.
  • Candidate MUST have high-speed wired internet connection. Wi-Fi / Wireless connections are not allowed, reliable internet connection- (No WI-FI) ethernet connection.
  • Attendance policy: Employee is required to work all assigned shifts.
  • Candidates are required to be on camera during training/working hours.

Must-Have Requirements:

  • Pharmacist License registered in state of CA
  • License should be CURRENT & UNRESTRICTED.
  • Strong drug product and clinical pharmacy knowledge.
  • Candidate must have 3-5 years of pharmacist background.
  • Ability to maneuver through various computer platforms while verifying information on phone calls.
  • Reliable, distraction-free home office environment

Responsibilities:

  • Provides prior-authorization services for formulary drugs, develops programs to provide optimal pharmacy care to patients, participates in drug utilization review programs, reviews assessment and documentation of patient care, and retrospective reviews of provider reimbursement.
  • Makes recommendations to physicians and other prescribers on medication regimens as per plan guidelines.
  • Assists providers to ensure accurate dispensing and billing of products.
  • Collaborates with other clinical personnel in assessing treatment guidelines.
  • May participate in formulary development and management.
  • Validates the clinical availability of multi-source products for provider utilization.
  • Adheres to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with Federal and State laws and standards of practice which govern the profession of pharmacy.
  • Maintains pharmacy records in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Maintains clinical skills and knowledge of pharmacotherapy by reviewing the literature, continuing education and any company provided in-services.
  • Completes all mandatory company provided on-line courses. Attends and completes all employee development courses.
  • Participates in mandatory on-call rotation when required by business needs.
  • Makes outbound or takes inbound telephone calls to assist in various aspects of patient care and/or product distribution to/from practitioners, members, and pharmacies.
  • These calls include, but are not limited to, comprehensive medication reviews, targeted medication reviews, call to practitioners about product awareness, and prior authorizations.
