Why is this Respiratory Therapist role different This role offers a balance of independence and teamwork, supporting patients across multiple locations in cities throughout the United States while collaborating with a small, supportive team of two RTs and the General Manager. Key highlights Work Arrangement: On-site. Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM; flexible. Travel: Local travel within assigned territories across various U.S. cities and regions. Salary range $25 – $50 per hour On-Call transparency Alternates weekly; supports assigned regional territory. What you’ll do Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow‑ups Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns appropriately Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs Collaborating with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including, but not limited to, oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non-invasive ventilation Inspects and tests equipment to ensure proper operating condition Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry and gathering vital signs Performs other duties as required What we look for Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active RT license in the state of practice Ability to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects ranging from 10 – 50 lbs. Valid driver's license Comfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation Education Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program Certificates, licenses, registrations or professional designations Hold a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers) if that state requires an RCP license to allow the practice of respiratory therapy Hold a current CPR Certification Hold all applicable licensure in good standing for all states of practice If you feel this opportunity could be the next step in your career, we encourage you to apply.
