Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Voice‑of‑Customer Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of our large‑scale data platforms that power the VoC analytics ecosystem. This role blends deep technical expertise with a strong business acumen, enabling you to translate complex data requirements into robust, scalable solutions that drive strategic decisions across the organization. Key Responsibilities

• Partner closely with product owners, business analysts, and the Agile delivery team to gather, refine, and prioritize VoC data requirements.
• Design, build, and maintain a resilient data architecture on the arenaflex Cornerstone platform, supporting both batch and real‑time analytics pipelines.
• Develop and optimize data models, schemas, and ETL processes using Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Spark, PySpark, and Python to ensure high‑quality, reliable data ingestion from survey tools and live chat systems.
• Implement robust data validation, testing, and monitoring frameworks to guarantee data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal governance standards.
• Collaborate with the Qualtrics integration team (renamed arenaflex) to streamline survey data flows, enhance metadata management, and improve overall data latency.
• Lead the creation of self‑service analytics dashboards and reporting solutions that empower business stakeholders to explore VoC insights without reliance on IT.
• Drive automation of repetitive data engineering tasks, leveraging shell scripting, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure‑as‑code practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and best‑practice adoption.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative approaches that keep arenaflex at the forefront of data‑driven customer experience.

Essential Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 3+ years of hands‑on data engineering experience with Hadoop ecosystem tools (Hive, Spark, HDFS) and Python/PySpark.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, ETL design, and scripting languages (Shell, Python). Demonstrated ability to build scalable data pipelines and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.
• Agile Mindset: Proven track record of working in Agile Scrum environments, delivering incremental value in short sprints.
