About arenaflex

arenaflex is a premier, diversified health‑care benefits organization that serves millions of members across the United States. As a leading provider of medical, pharmacy, dental, behavioral health, life, and disability plans, arenaflex combines innovative technology with compassionate service to make health care more affordable, accessible, and personalized. Our mission is to empower individuals and families to live healthier lives, and we achieve that by fostering a culture of inclusion, continuous learning, and relentless improvement.

Why This Role Matters

Data is the lifeblood of any health‑care operation. Accurate, timely, and well‑maintained information enables clinicians, insurers, and administrators to make decisions that directly affect the health and well‑being of our members. As a Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you will be a critical guardian of data integrity, ensuring that every record—whether it pertains to a claim, a member profile, or a benefits enrollment—is entered flawlessly and kept up‑to‑date. Your work will support the broader goals of improving patient outcomes, streamlining operations, and delivering exceptional service.

Role Overview

This full‑time, entry‑level position is designed for detail‑oriented individuals who thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams—including claims processing, member services, and compliance—to input, verify, and maintain data across multiple internal systems. While the role is rooted in routine data entry, it also offers opportunities to develop analytical skills, contribute to process‑improvement initiatives, and grow into more advanced data‑management or administrative positions within arenaflex.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurate Data Input: Enter member, claim, and benefits information into arenaflex’s proprietary databases and third‑party platforms with a focus on precision.
  • Data Verification: Conduct thorough reviews of incoming data to confirm completeness, correctness, and compliance with internal standards.
  • Quality Assurance Checks: Perform routine data quality audits, flag inconsistencies, and initiate corrective actions in partnership with supervisors.
  • Error Resolution: Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, collaborating with relevant departments to ensure swift remediation.
  • Policy Adherence: Follow arenaflex’s data entry policies, security protocols, and privacy regulations (including HIPAA) at all times.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside teammates to meet departmental targets, share best practices, and support continuous improvement projects.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear records of data entry activities, audit trails, and any escalated issues for future reference.
  • System Enhancement Feedback: Provide constructive feedback on system usability and suggest enhancements that could streamline data entry workflows.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in business administration, health information management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience (minimum 6 months) in data entry, administrative support, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and data validation).
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a proven track record of delivering error‑free work.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management abilities; capable of handling multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; able to convey information clearly and professionally.
  • Basic knowledge of data‑entry best practices, data privacy standards, and information security principles.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Experience

  • Experience with health‑care data systems (e.g., claims processing platforms, electronic health records) or familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Previous exposure to HIPAA compliance, data governance, or regulatory reporting.
  • Exposure to workflow automation tools (e.g., macros, RPA) or basic scripting knowledge.
  • Customer‑service experience that demonstrates empathy, problem‑solving, and a service‑first mindset.
  • Certification such as Certified Data Entry Specialist (CDES) or similar credentials.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to spot patterns, detect anomalies, and think critically about data quality.
  • Technical Agility: Comfort navigating multiple software applications, learning new tools quickly, and adapting to system upgrades.
  • Reliability: Consistent attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Collaboration: Willingness to share knowledge, support peers, and contribute to a positive team dynamic.
  • Problem‑Solving: Proactive approach to identifying root causes of data errors and recommending practical solutions.
  • Confidentiality: Respect for member privacy and strict adherence to data protection policies.

Career Growth & Learning Opportunities

  • On‑the‑job training modules covering advanced Excel techniques, data governance, and health‑care industry fundamentals.

  • Tuition reimbursement for relevant certifications or degree programs.
  • Opportunities to transition into roles such as Data Analyst, Claims Processor, Compliance Coordinator, or Business Operations Specialist after demonstrating proficiency and initiative.
  • Regular participation in internal webinars, workshops, and cross‑departmental projects that broaden your skill set.

Our offices are designed to foster collaboration, creativity, and well‑being. You will find:

  • Open‑plan workspaces complemented by quiet zones for focused tasks.
  • State‑of‑the‑art ergonomic equipment to support comfort during long data‑entry sessions.
  • A culture that celebrates diversity, equity, and inclusion—ensuring every voice is heard and valued.
  • Regular team‑building events, health‑and‑wellness challenges, and community outreach initiatives.
