Senior Staff Accountant (Remote)

Work from home Full-time role Hiring

Our client, a rapidly growing enterprise in the financial services sector, is actively seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join their fully remote finance department. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional to make a significant impact within a supportive and forward-thinking organization. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and contributing to various financial reporting initiatives. In this crucial role, responsibilities include preparing and reviewing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP. You will also be involved in variance analysis, identifying and investigating discrepancies, and providing explanations for financial performance. The Senior Staff Accountant will support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial information and address accounting-related queries will be a key aspect of the job. Furthermore, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls, identifying opportunities for efficiency and automation. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with a CPA or CMA designation strongly preferred. A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience is required, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks Enterprise, SAP) and advanced Excel skills are essential. Experience with a complex ERP system is highly desirable. Given the remote nature of this role, exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills are critical. You must be self-directed, able to work independently, and effectively manage multiple priorities in a virtual environment. Our client is committed to fostering a collaborative and inclusive remote work culture where every team member's contribution is valued. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. We are looking for a professional who is not only technically proficient but also possesses strong analytical abilities and a dedication to accuracy.
