[Remote] Mandarin Chinese Transcriber
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Productive Playhouse is a global data company specializing in language and data services. They are seeking a Mandarin Chinese Traditional Transcriber to support the development of talk-to-text technology by accurately transcribing audio files according to client-specific guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe a variety of files in accordance with client-specific Written Domain conventions (WDCs)
- Maintain a thorough understanding of each client’s guidelines, updating your knowledge as changes occur
- Produce high-quality, timely work for all assigned transcription projects
- Reference and apply current training materials and documentation as needed
- Identify and report technical issues or transcription concerns to the Division Services Manager
- Contribute ideas for improving workflows and transcription processes
- Participate in additional tasks or special projects as assigned
Skills
- Native-level (C2) proficiency in Mandarin Chinese Traditional (cmn_hant_tw), including the ability to read and write
- Excellent grammar/orthography and punctuation
- Have an Upwork profile, or be willing to create an Upwork profile
- High-speed internet access
- This project requires participants to have their own computer
- Access to e-mail
