Overview

MajorKey Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Senior Identity Security Engineer to lead the technical delivery of customer identity and identity modernization projects for enterprise customers. This individual will serve as the primary technical lead responsible for implementing modern identity solutions, guiding delivery resources, and supporting customers throughout the engagement lifecycle. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Microsoft Entra ID, customer identity and access management (CIAM/B2C) concepts, modern authentication protocols, and cloud-based identity solutions. Experience with hybrid identity and legacy Microsoft identity technologies is beneficial but not the primary focus of the role. This is a client-facing consulting role requiring strong technical depth, communication skills, and leadership presence. Applicants for this position must reside in Costa Rica.

Key Responsibilities

Lead technical delivery for customer identity and modern authentication projects. Translate architectural designs into actionable implementation workstreams and technical tasks. Serve as the primary escalation point for complex identity and authentication issues. Validate technical deliverables to ensure alignment with security best practices and customer objectives. Assist customers in assessing existing identity, authentication, and user experience challenges. Support implementation efforts involving Microsoft Entra ID, External ID / B2C capabilities, federation technologies, Conditional Access, MFA, and identity governance solutions. Design and support authentication integrations using modern protocols including SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and SCIM. Develop automation and operational tooling using PowerShell, Graph API, and related technologies. Act as a trusted advisor to customer stakeholders on identity modernization and customer access strategies. Partner with Project Managers to align delivery milestones, risks, and technical execution. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft identity and access management technologies. Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID and cloud identity services. Experience with customer identity / CIAM / B2C solutions and external user authentication scenarios. Experience implementing federation and modern authentication protocols including SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and MFA solutions. Familiarity with Microsoft Graph API, automation, and scripting using PowerShell or similar tooling. Experience troubleshooting authentication flows, identity integrations, and access management challenges. Strong understanding of Conditional Access, identity security concepts, and Zero Trust principles. Excellent communication and client-facing consulting skills. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Microsoft Entra External ID / Azure AD B2C. Experience with identity governance concepts including lifecycle management, access reviews, and provisioning. Familiarity with hybrid identity environments and legacy federation technologies. Exposure to Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM), Active Directory, or synchronization technologies. Experience in integrating SaaS applications and enterprise identity platforms. Microsoft certifications such as SC-300, AZ-500, or related security and identity certifications. Experience working in enterprise consulting or professional services environments. Role Expectations Lead multiple concurrent client engagements depending on project size and complexity. Identify and escalate project risks early with proposed mitigation strategies. Balance security best practices with practical customer experience and business outcomes. Drive modern identity adoption while helping customers navigate hybrid and legacy dependencies where necessary. Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate combines strong Microsoft cloud identity expertise with customer-focused authentication experience and consulting leadership capabilities. They should be comfortable leading technical discussions with enterprise customers, guiding engineers through implementation challenges, and owning modern identity transformation initiatives from discovery through delivery. This person understands that identity is no longer just internal workforce authentication, but a critical component of customer experience, security, and digital platform strategy.
