Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Director of Facilities and Real Estate to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all real estate, construction, and facilities management activities across V2X. This role drives enterprise-wide portfolio strategy, capital planning, and facilities operations while serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, this position leads a team of facilities professionals and manages cross-functional relationships to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective operations across V2X’s owned and managed properties.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities: Strategic Real Estate & Portfolio Management Develop and execute long-range real estate strategy and portfolio management plans aligned with V2X’s business objectives and growth priorities. Oversee site selection, lease negotiations, acquisitions, dispositions, and renewals across the enterprise property portfolio. Maintain acute awareness of market and industry trends to inform strategic real estate decisions and optimize occupancy costs. Lead asset management activities including property performance analysis, capital reinvestment planning, and portfolio optimization. Serve as the primary subject matter expert and trusted advisor to senior leadership on all real estate and construction matters. Facilities Operations & Maintenance Provide strategic oversight and operational direction for all construction, ongoing operations, and maintenance of V2X-owned and managed properties. Implement scalable facilities management frameworks and standard operating procedures that drive service quality and operational consistency across all locations. Optimize space utilization strategies to drive efficiency and support evolving workforce and operational requirements. Ensure safe, compliant, and well-maintained facilities environments across all sites, integrating health and safety protocols throughout operations. Capital Projects & Construction Management Oversee all strategic capital project activities from planning through closeout, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and quality delivery. Prepare, review, and approve construction, architectural, and professional services contracts pertaining to all construction within the enterprise. Partner with engineering and operations teams to implement innovative solutions that improve facility performance and long-term asset value. Develop and maintain multi-year capital project roadmaps aligned with organizational strategic plans and executive leadership guidelines. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations including DNV, OSHA, ADA, and environmental requirements across all facilities. Identify and mitigate facilities-related risk across the portfolio, including physical security, environmental liability, and operational continuity. Maintain current knowledge of evolving regulatory requirements and proactively update policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance. Financial Management & Budget Oversight Develop, manage, and optimize annual operational and capital budgets for the facilities function, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic plan and executive guidelines. Deliver regular financial reporting and variance analysis to senior and executive leadership, providing insights and recommendations to optimize spend. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across real estate, construction, and facilities operations without compromising quality or compliance. Stakeholder Engagement & Team Leadership Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with senior leadership, internal business partners, external vendors, landlords, and contractors. Lead, develop, and mentor a team of facilities and real estate professionals, setting clear performance expectations and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Drive cross-functional collaboration to foster open communication and mutual problem-solving across departments and business units. Represent the facilities and real estate function at the executive level, providing strategic insight and recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Preferred Education: Advanced degree (MBA or MS) preferred. IFMA Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facilities Management Professional (FMP), or equivalent credential strongly preferred. Experience: 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in facilities management, real estate, and/or construction management. Eight (8+) years of senior leadership or management experience, including direct oversight of teams and complex capital programs. Demonstrated experience managing enterprise-level real estate portfolios across multiple geographies and property types. Experience with large-scale capital project delivery, contract management, and vendor oversight. Other Requirements: US Citizenship. 30%+ travel required; travel to remote locations may be required. Must be able to travel on short notice to respond to emergency situations. May work extended hours as required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting defense, government services, or mission-critical environments. Background in sustainability, energy management, or green building certification programs (LEED, etc.). Experience with M&A integration and facilities harmonization across acquired entities. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be based on, but not limited to, their job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company’s base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company. USD $220,000–$250,000 Provided salary range minimum and maximum values correspond to variances between regional/geographic locations across the United States.
