Subject Matter Expert - Environmental

Skeo Solutions, Inc. is a small consulting firm that provides innovative and collaborative solutions to our primary clients in environmental stewardship, meaningful engagement, and economic opportunity. We are seeking a subject matter expert to join our dynamic and talented team of professionals. As a subject matter expert you will advise and provide guidance on Skeo’s work on a wide variety of projects supporting U.S. EPA Office of Land and Emergency Response. Extensive knowledge of EPA’s policies and programs will be necessary in this role. Job Duties Provide strategic support to executive and senior leadership. Provide subject matter expertise on a range of projects related to Superfund, technical assistance for communities, technical assistance processes and associated topics. Contribute to business development strategy to align Skeo’s qualifications with government agency needs. Serve as an expert speaker at various internal and external meetings and events. Provide strategic direction on program and project approaches. Skills We Are Seeking Essential Skills and Qualifications: Master’s degree or higher required. A minimum of 25 years’ experience with EPA’s Programs related to environmental protection, regulatory compliance, equitable public health outcomes, and best practices at both headquarters and regional levels. Technical expertise related to Superfund and Technical Assistance to Communities. Knowledge of sustainable business practices tied to the reuse of Superfund sites. Applied leadership experience tied to EPA. Demonstrated experience liaising and building relationships with partners to deeply understand and address their individual needs. Demonstrated ability to present and translate technical language skillfully to both technical and non-technical audiences. Able to solve complex problems. Why Work with Skeo? Competitive Salary: The compensation in this role depends on experience level and contributing factors. This role will be part-time, hourly non-exempt, and as needed with no guaranteed number of hours available.
