About the Role

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to help build and maintain the infrastructure, frameworks, and automation used to develop and test the Veeam DataAI Command Platform . In this role, you will contribute to ensuring high product quality, scalability, reliability, and security across both cloud and on-premises environments. You will work closely with engineering teams to improve test coverage, enhance automation capabilities, and support CI/CD processes in a fast-paced cloud-native environment. What You’ll Do Build, maintain, and improve on-premises and cloud-based infrastructures used for product development and testing Develop and enhance automated test frameworks and expand product test coverage Implement, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines Create tools and automation to streamline engineering and operational workflows Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates and deployment automation Collaborate cross-functionally with software engineers, QA, DevOps, and platform teams Prepare and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and operational guides Support quality initiatives focused on scalability, reliability, performance, and security What You’ll Bring 3+ years of experience in test automation or software quality engineering Experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks Strong experience working with CI/CD pipelines in large-scale engineering environments Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using modern programming languages Experience with scripting languages such as Bash or Python Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills and a strong sense of ownership Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment Bonus Skills Experience developing applications or tools in Golang Familiarity with public cloud platforms and APIs, especially AWS Experience with Kubernetes and the cloud-native ecosystem Hands-on experience with technologies such as: Kubernetes Helm Docker OpenShift Rancher Google GKE AWS EKS Azure AKS VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG) Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tooling Familiarity with containerized environments and distributed systems What You’ll Get [Insert list of benefits; see confluence] What you'll get Paid vacation starting at 15 days per year and increasing to 20 or 25 days based on tenure, with 4 additional global VeeaMe Days and 24 paid volunteer hours annually through Veeam Cares Paid parental leave that includes 3 weeks for all parents and 12 weeks for birthing parents Medical, dental, and vision coverage from day one Mental health support, therapy sessions, and digital wellness tools RRSP retirement plan with matching contributions Fertility support, plus 24 paid volunteer hours through Veeam Cares AirVet: 24/7 virtual veterinary care at no cost Opportunities to learn and grow through on-demand libraries (LinkedIn Learning, O’Reilly), mentoring, workshops, and learning events like our annual Global Day of Learning

Compensation

Transparency Veeam is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation. For this role, the compensation range below reflects the expected total target compensation (TTC), inclusive of base pay and a competitive performance-based bonus. For roles with a commission plan, the compensation range represents On Target Earnings (OTE), which includes base salary plus variable commission. When determining compensation, Veeam takes into consideration factors such as experience, education, and skills. Offers are typically made below the midpoint of the range.
