LabVantage Product Owner / Functional Expert- 12 Month Contract

Job Description: What are we looking for? Minimum bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or related discipline Minimum of 5 years’ experience in R&D across multiple roles Minimum of 3 years’ experience with systems’ management, development and deployment Laboratory experience Project management experience Excellent communication skills Broad operational knowledge of MW processes and systems Strong internal network across R&D, and beyond Experience with leading R&D process / systems development Skilled in collecting and analyzing complex data, evaluating information and systems, and drawing logical conclusions. What will be your key responsibilities? Owns the vision and long-term strategy of MS LabVantage LIMS and ensures it meets the global cross segments’ R&D digitalization strategy. Partners with MGS Labs Team to ensure alignment of Mars LabVantage Strategy. Drives consistent application and governance of MS LabVantage in partnership with global and BU teams; including understanding and formalizing where deviations are needed & why. Leads system & process development activities to support implementation of a new R&D system or process capabilities. Provides MS leadership for development and deployment projects, drives and prioritizes continuous improvements for LabVantage. Leads and gains approval of funds required to improve or sustain MS LabVantage. Applies business knowledge, including Mars QMS Best Practices, to help ensure deployments deliver the required R&D capabilities, system harmonization, etc., needed to realize the segment and regional R&D objectives. Ensures training curriculum (planning, organization & materials) is established to both support initial deployment and long-term sustainability for LabVantage LIMS. Designs and delivers training to LIMS key users to become more technically competent with the LIMS software. Ensures the design and delivery of effective training on the LIMS modules for business users globally. Manages and escalates system issues, through resolution. Maintains regular communication and collaboration with program stakeholders, including escalations where appropriate, to deliver program objectives. Leads MS Global LabVantage Community of Practice calls with Key & End users to enable best practice, sharing and learning. Drives global alignment of laboratory management system processes using global laboratory standards and resolves differences by utilizing experts and the global community for governance. Leads the development/translation of new laboratory processes and enables development of new modules for LIMS working with supporting teams. Has expert knowledge of the LIMS tool technically and mentors other technical resources for development of LIMS system functionality that delivers effectiveness. Gets external perspective of what is coming ahead from the system’s vendor which can benefit R&D processes & PLM capabilities for compliance, efficiency, speed and future proofing. Leads the new capability deployment roadmap for MS. Delivers proper communications of changes of products at key milestones. Partners with Mars Digital Technologies and key users to ensure a successful system upgrade. Organizes and coordinates the E2E testing, knowledge transfer, and communication to achieve a successful end user adoption of the system. Responsible for defining the data within the product, in collaboration with process owners. Governs and maintains global process documentation of the product.
