Artificial Intelligence/IT Senior Project Manager
The Artificial Intelligence / IT Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading, coordinating, and delivering complex technology-driven programs, with a particular focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI), data, digital platforms, and enterprise IT systems. This role requires strong technical awareness, leadership capability, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams operating across software development, data science, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and business functions.The role oversees all phases of project and program delivery—from concept through implementation and adoption—ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while aligning to business strategy, regulatory expectations, and enterprise architecture standards. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred (e.g. Information Systems, Data Science, AI, MBA). Minimum of 10 years’ project or program management experience, with at least 5 years leading complex IT and/or AI-enabled initiatives. Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred. Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, software development lifecycles (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid), and enterprise IT environments. Experience delivering projects involving data platforms, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, automation, analytics, or AI-driven solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Proficiency with modern project and delivery tools (e.g. Smartsheet, MS Project). Oversee external vendor, consultancy, systems integrator, and technology partner relationships to ensure quality, value, and timely delivery. Proactively identify and manage technical, operational, security, and organizational risks. Establish and track delivery metrics, milestones, and KPIs, reporting progress, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership and governance forums. Manage program financials, including forecasting, cost control, value tracking, and benefits realization. Champion continuous improvement, modern delivery practices, and the responsible, ethical adoption of AI technologies.
