Patient Assistance Advocate (Pharmacy Technician)
Location: Remote PositionPay Range: $18.93 - $31.56 RESPONSIBILITIES Position Summary: Provide high quality financial assistance for patients of the Company’s in-house pharmacy, Rx to Go. Facilitate and analyze patients who a) have insurance requiring a high copay, b) incur a high deductible, c) who have Medicare or who are eligible for Medicare Part B/D and d) have no prescription drug coverage and /or live on a limited income. QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma and minimum of three (3) years of experience in medical insurance/billing, financial counselor, and/or patient financial assistance.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills needed.
- Working knowledge of insurance plans and basic limitations that applies to coverage of certain specialty medications.
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task are important to the job function.
- Must demonstrate organizational skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Fluency in the English language as well as strong communication skills to interact with a wide variety of personalities is required.
