Key Responsibilities

  • Data‑Driven Retention Analysis: Gather, cleanse, and analyze large data sets from policy administration, claims, and CRM systems to identify churn drivers and retention opportunities.
  • Monthly Retention Reporting: Produce and present comprehensive retention dashboards and executive‑level reports that highlight trends, forecast renewal rates, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Product Development & Innovation: Partner with product managers, underwriters, and technology teams to design, prototype, and launch new or enhanced insurance products that address identified retention gaps.
  • Strategic Roadmapping: Translate market research, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback into clear product strategies, prioritizing initiatives that maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Market & Industry Research: Conduct ongoing analysis of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to anticipate threats and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Project Management (Agile): Lead cross‑functional agile squads, define sprint goals, manage backlogs, and ensure timely delivery of retention‑focused enhancements.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the liaison between data science, underwriting, marketing, and senior leadership, translating technical findings into business‑friendly narratives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of data‑driven decision‑making by recommending process optimizations, automation opportunities, and best‑practice analytics methodologies.

Essential Qualifications

  • Fluent English (both written and spoken) – ability to communicate complex analytical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • 3–6 years of professional experience in data analytics, preferably within the insurance sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Business Administration, Economics, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer retention initiatives, including churn modeling, segmentation, and lifecycle management.
  • Solid understanding of property and casualty insurance fundamentals – product composition, coverage options, rating methodology, and underwriting philosophy.
  • Proficiency with Power BI (4–6 years), Microsoft Excel (advanced), and PowerPoint for creating compelling visualizations and presentations.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Prior experience working for an insurance carrier or a large insurance group.
  • Hands‑on exposure to product strategy, roadmapping, and go‑to‑market execution.
  • Intermediate to advanced competency in data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and statistical modeling techniques.
  • Strong customer‑experience mindset – ability to empathize with policyholders and advocate for user‑centric product design.
  • Proven project management capabilities within an agile framework, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of delivering clear, concise, and persuasive reports to senior leadership.
