Content Strategist & Instructional Designer: Home Services Operations Framework

We are seeking an expert in technical copywriting, operational playbooks, and instructional design to refine, structure, and polish a proprietary business growth framework tailored specifically for home services contractors. The goal of this project is to transform raw methodology into a high-impact, production-grade operational guide that provides immediate, structured value for business owners scaling their operations. Technical Scope & Responsibilities You will be responsible for the end-to-end refinement of the core content asset, focusing on the following execution pillars: 1. Structural Optimization & Instructional Design Analyze the existing material and establish a highly functional reading hierarchy. Integrate structured stop-gaps, operational checklists, actionable exercises, and real-world scenario mappings to anchor the theoretical concepts. Design a predictable blueprint layout that balances dense technical frameworks with scannable, high-utility execution steps. 2. Copy Refinement & Voice Consistency Review all draft copy to enforce a precise, authoritative, and direct tone. Identify and ruthlessly eliminate generic text, fluff, or predictable phrasing, ensuring the voice sounds authentic and human. Apply strict formatting standards to keep sentences punchy, direct, and focused entirely on business metrics. 3. Research & Data Substantiation Audit the framework for areas requiring deep industry data or structural validation. Perform targeted research on home service industry benchmarks, operational workflows, and scaling metrics to back up all core claims. 4. Framework Realignment Synthesize historical context files and extensive framework transcripts to use as the absolute source of truth for the methodology. Ensure the foundational thematic elements—modeled around a structural progression system—are seamlessly and consistently integrated through every section of the guide. Requirements for the Strategist Proven experience developing instructional playbooks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), or high-value business development guides for the corporate or skilled trades sectors. Exceptional copy-editing skills with a demonstrated ability to strip out conversational filler and replace it with high-impact data. Strong structural planning skills, with the ability to ingest large amounts of historical chat transcripts and extract the core operational rules. Bonus: Experience with document layout design, typography, or visual asset mapping to enhance the scannability of the final asset.
