AI Prompts Engineer (Hybrid role-only on W2)-Locals to St. Petersburg, FL.
Job Title: AI Engineer Location: St. Petersburg, FL (Hybrid) Duration: Long Term Job Description Design, build, and optimize prompts, Agents, and custom GPTs that power real business workflows. This role owns prompt strategy end-to-end creating reusable prompt libraries, enabling API-driven integrations (connecting AI to systems and data), and improving output quality at scale. You will work hands-on with tools like Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and Claude to deliver practical solutions, support users directly, and turn AI capabilities into measurable productivity gains.
Responsibilities
Strong experience with LLMs (large language models: AI systems that generate text) such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot Advanced prompt engineering (designing inputs to control AI outputs) and prompt optimization Experience with Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Copilot) Proficiency in Power BI (data visualization and reporting) Familiarity with workflow and automation tools (e.g., APIs, agents, or orchestration frameworks) Experience with Smartsheet or similar work management tools (preferred) Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving Ability to translate business needs into AI-driven solutions Clear written communication; able to document and explain complex concepts simply Skills: Experience deploying AI tools in enterprise or regulated environments Understanding of data privacy, security, and AI governance considerations Comfortable working in fast-moving, evolving environments Strong collaboration across technical and business teams Focus on measurable outcomes and continuous improvement Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) Work Experience 4 8 years of experience in AI/ML, NLP (natural language processing: systems that understand language), or applied automation At least 2+ years working directly with LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI copilots Apply tot his job Apply To this Job Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
