Our mission is simple yet ambitious: to redefine how large‑scale networks are designed, operated, and evolved. We serve a distinguished roster of Federal agencies, Fortune 500 enterprises, and Global 2000 corporations that rely on arenaflex to keep their critical infrastructure secure, resilient, and future‑ready.
Why This Role Matters – The Impact of a Federal Customer Success Engineer
As a Customer Success Engineer on the Federal team, you will be the technical champion for some of the nation’s most mission‑critical networks. You will partner directly with senior government stakeholders, guiding them through the adoption journey, resolving complex post‑sales challenges, and ensuring that arenaflex’s technology delivers measurable value day after day. Your expertise will help shape the next generation of network assurance practices across the public sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical advisor and subject‑matter expert for Federal customers, driving successful adoption and sustained usage of the arenaflex Enterprise platform.
- Own the end‑to‑end resolution of post‑sales technical issues, collaborating with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to document troubleshooting steps, create knowledge‑base articles, and refine product processes.
- Guide customers through each phase of the adoption lifecycle—initial onboarding, pilot deployments, full‑scale rollout, and ongoing optimization—ensuring alignment with their strategic objectives.
- Develop and deliver tailored technical workshops, executive briefings, and hands‑on training sessions that translate complex networking concepts into actionable insights for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Maintain a deep understanding of Federal procurement cycles, compliance requirements, and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP) to proactively address regulatory considerations.
- Travel to customer sites (up to 10% of the time) to conduct on‑site assessments, facilitate workshops, and strengthen relationships through face‑to‑face engagement.
- Contribute to product roadmap discussions by relaying real‑world feedback, emerging threats, and feature requests gathered from Federal engagements.
- Champion best practices for API‑driven workflows, automation, and scripting (Python, Bash, GraphQL, etc.) to help customers integrate arenaflex into their existing operational toolchains.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Active Top‑Secret (TS) clearance; SCI eligibility is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of post‑sales engineering experience within the networking domain—experience can be gained from a networking vendor, a software‑as‑a‑service provider, a large enterprise network team, a service provider, or a Federal agency.
- Proven track record of delivering high‑impact technical support and driving adoption for complex, multi‑vendor network environments.
Desired Experience & Skills
- Deep knowledge of networking and security fundamentals, including routing, switching, firewalling, load balancing, and zero‑trust architectures.
- Hands‑on experience with a broad set of network vendors (e.g., A10, Arista, Cisco, F5, Fortinet, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, etc.) and the ability to troubleshoot cross‑vendor interoperability issues.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills—capable of conducting needs analyses, crafting compelling business justifications, and delivering polished presentations to senior leadership.
- Strong analytical mindset with a systematic approach to problem solving, enabling rapid identification and resolution of technical challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution, consistently achieving high customer satisfaction and retention rates in fast‑paced environments.
- Experience working in a high‑growth startup environment is a plus, as is familiarity with agile development cycles and rapid product iteration.
- Proficiency in scripting and API integration (Python, Bash, jq, GraphQL, etc.) to automate workflows, generate custom reports, and extend platform capabilities.
Core Competencies for Success
- Customer‑Centric Mindset: A relentless focus on delivering value to Federal clients, anticipating their needs, and exceeding expectations.
- Collaboration: Ability to work fluidly across internal teams—Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing—to align technical solutions with business goals.
