Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Do Every Day

  • Customer Interaction & Guidance: Greet shoppers warmly, answer product‑related questions, and provide personalized recommendations that align with their preferences and budget.
  • Cash Register Management: Operate assigned point‑of‑sale (POS) systems accurately, process sales transactions, handle cash, credit, and digital payments, and ensure the register balances at the end of each shift.
  • Asset Protection & Security: Safeguard cash drawers, monitor for suspicious activity, and follow arenaflex’s loss‑prevention protocols to protect company assets.
  • Merchandise Handling: Receive inbound shipments, unload trucks, verify delivery manifests, and stock shelves according to planograms and productivity standards.
  • Store Maintenance & Cleanliness: Perform routine cleaning tasks—including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and restroom restocking—to keep the store tidy, safe, and inviting.
  • Inventory Management: Conduct regular shelf checks, replenish low‑stock items, and assist with inventory counts to ensure product availability and accurate stock levels.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow associates, supervisors, and department leads to coordinate tasks, share information, and support a cohesive work environment.
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when needed, and report any hazards or incidents promptly.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special initiatives, seasonal promotions, and store‑wide events as directed by management.

Essential Qualifications – What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Prior experience in a customer‑facing role within retail, hospitality, food service, grocery, or pharmacy settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow written instructions, interpret operational documents, and adhere to standard operating procedures.
  • Physical capability to lift 30–50 lb regularly, and to perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven track record of delivering courteous, solution‑oriented service.
  • Strong organizational abilities, clear communication, and the capacity to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Effective problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, with a focus on resolving customer concerns promptly and professionally.
