Role Overview – Data Entry Pharmacy Technician (Remote)

The data entry department is the engine room of arenaflex’s pharmacy operations. As a Remote Data Entry Pharmacy Technician, you will be the first line of defense in ensuring that every prescription, resident profile, and insurance claim is entered with flawless accuracy and speed. Your work will directly influence the quality of care delivered to our partner communities and the satisfaction of the residents we serve.

This position operates on an evening shift from 12:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. CST, providing flexibility for candidates who thrive in later‑day schedules. You will work from a home office equipped with a reliable internet connection, a secure computer system, and the tools required to maintain compliance with all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and accurately enter prescription orders into arenaflex’s FrameworkLTC and DocuTrack pharmacy platforms.
  • Perform profile‑only data entry tasks, ensuring resident information is up‑to‑date and complete.
  • Answer inbound calls from community partners, residents, and healthcare providers, delivering courteous and knowledgeable service.
  • Monitor and respond to pharmacy‑related emails and messages promptly, maintaining professional communication standards.
  • Investigate and resolve community or resident issues, escalating when necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  • Adjudicate insurance claims, verify coverage details, and coordinate with payers to secure appropriate reimbursement.
  • Model arenaflex’s core values daily, adhering to the Behavior Standard and promoting a collaborative team culture.
  • Participate in required company meetings, training sessions, and compliance courses through the PRS system.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and confidential work environment, safeguarding resident data in accordance with HIPAA and other regulations.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year experience in healthcare data entry, medical record management, or a related field—preferably within a long‑term‑care or managed‑care setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in health administration is a plus.
  • Current Illinois Pharmacy Technician certification and license (or eligibility to obtain one).
  • Demonstrated ability to enter data quickly and accurately, with a proven track record of meeting productivity targets.
