Role Overview – What You’ll Do Every Day

As a Customer Service Associate I at arenaflex, you will be the front‑line ambassador for our brand. Your responsibilities will blend direct customer interaction, cash handling, inventory management, and store upkeep. You’ll work closely with fellow associates and store leadership to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for every guest who walks through our doors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Assistance: Greet shoppers, answer product‑related questions, and provide personalized recommendations that align with their needs and preferences.
  • Sales Transaction Management: Operate an assigned cash register, accurately process purchases, returns, and exchanges, and maintain the security of cash and other monetary assets.
  • Merchandise Handling: Receive shipments, unload trucks, and stock shelves according to productivity standards, ensuring that popular items are always available.
  • Store Presentation: Keep aisles, displays, and checkout areas tidy; sweep, mop, and maintain floor cleanliness; restock and sanitize restrooms; and manage waste disposal.
  • Asset Protection: Follow arenaflex’s loss‑prevention procedures, monitor for suspicious activity, and safeguard company property.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with peers and supervisors, share insights on customer trends, and assist with special projects as needed.

  • Additional Duties: Perform any other tasks assigned by store leadership, ranging from seasonal merchandising to promotional event support.

Essential Qualifications – What We Require

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in a customer‑service role within retail, hospitality, restaurant, grocery, or pharmacy settings.
  • Ability to follow written instructions, interpret operational documents, and execute standard operating procedures accurately.
  • Physical capability to lift 30–50 lb regularly, and to perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting tasks.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on building positive relationships with customers and teammates.
  • Strong organizational abilities and clear, concise communication skills.
