The Customer Service Associate position is the heartbeat of every arenaflex store. You will be the first point of contact for shoppers, guiding them through their purchase journey, handling transactions with precision, and ensuring that the store environment remains safe, clean, and inviting. Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Interaction & Guidance: Greet every customer with a warm smile, answer product‑related questions, and provide personalized recommendations that align with their needs and budget.
  • Cash Register Operations: Accurately process sales transactions, handle cash, credit, and digital payments, and maintain the integrity of the cash drawer throughout each shift.
  • Asset Protection: Safeguard cash and store merchandise by following arenaflex’s security protocols, conducting regular cash reconciliations, and reporting any discrepancies promptly.
  • Merchandise Management: Receive inbound shipments, unload trucks, verify inventory against purchase orders, and replenish shelves according to productivity standards and visual merchandising guidelines.
  • Store Maintenance & Cleanliness: Keep the store tidy by sweeping, mopping, restocking restrooms, taking out trash, and ensuring all public areas are presentable and safe for shoppers.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow associates and store leadership to coordinate tasks, share information, and support one another during busy periods.
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to arenaflex’s health and safety policies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in training sessions, provide feedback on store operations, and embrace opportunities to learn new product lines, technology tools, and customer service best practices.
  • Additional Duties: Perform any other tasks assigned by supervisors, such as assisting with promotional set‑ups, inventory counts, or special events.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in a customer‑facing role within retail, hospitality, restaurant, grocery, or pharmacy environments.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow operational documents, policies, and procedural guides.
  • Physical capability to lift 30–50 lb regularly, and to perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting tasks.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with a clear, courteous, and professional demeanor.
  • Proven problem‑solving abilities and sound decision‑making skills, especially in fast‑paced situations.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Previous experience operating point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and handling cash transactions.
  • Basic math proficiency for accurate cash handling and inventory tracking.
  • Familiarity with retail merchandising standards and planogram execution.
