Position Overview

The Customer Experience Banker (Part‑Time) serves as a dedicated Financial Concierge for walk‑in clients at our New Baltimore, MI branch. Working 30‑35 hours per week, you will blend exceptional service with a disciplined sales approach to retain, deepen, and expand both consumer and business relationships. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include guiding customers through deposit products, processing transactions with precision, and acting as a trusted advisor who anticipates financial needs before they arise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service Excellence: Greet every visitor with a warm, professional demeanor; resolve inquiries promptly; and ensure each interaction leaves a lasting positive impression.
  • Product Knowledge & Education: Demonstrate deep understanding of arenaflex’s consumer deposit offerings—including checking, savings, money‑market, and certificates of deposit—and clearly articulate benefits to customers.
  • Relationship Growth: Identify cross‑selling opportunities through a structured sales process, follow‑up programs, outbound calls, and referral sourcing; aim to increase product penetration while aligning solutions with customer goals.
  • Referral Management: Recognize when a customer’s needs extend beyond your scope and proactively refer them to specialized arenaflex teams (e.g., loans, wealth management) to deepen the overall relationship.
  • Transaction Accuracy: Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and other banking transactions with meticulous attention to detail; balance cash drawers daily and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Compliance & Security: Adhere to all operational, risk, security, and regulatory policies; maintain confidentiality and safeguard customer information at all times.
  • Team Collaboration: Share insights, best practices, and feedback with branch leadership; contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and collective success.

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (minimum); a Bachelor’s degree is a strong plus.
  • At least 1 year of customer‑service experience, or equivalent experience in the military (administration, contracting, civil affairs, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to handle cash responsibly and accurately.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a genuine desire to help people.
  • Basic proficiency with digital banking tools, mobile apps, and online platforms.

  • 1+ year of direct experience in banking, financial services, or goal‑driven retail sales.
