Why arenaflex? – Join a Legacy of Mobility and Innovation

Since its founding in the mid‑1940s, arenaflex has been the trusted partner for millions of do‑it‑yourself movers across North America. From humble beginnings as a solution for post‑war families needing affordable, one‑way moving equipment, arenaflex has grown into a nationwide network of service centers, rental fleets, and digital platforms that empower customers to relocate, transport, and store their belongings with confidence. Our brand is synonymous with reliability, flexibility, and a customer‑first mindset. As a part‑time Customer Service Representative & Lot Attendant, you will become the friendly face of this iconic brand, helping guests start their journeys on the right foot while maintaining the high‑quality equipment that makes those journeys possible.

Position Overview

Located at our bustling Beaverton, Oregon service center (14225 SW Tualatin Valley Hwy, Beaverton, OR 97005), this part‑time role blends direct customer interaction with hands‑on equipment management. You will work side‑by‑side with a supportive team, using modern technology to process rentals, inspect and maintain trucks and trailers, and ensure every guest leaves with a seamless experience. The role is ideal for energetic, people‑oriented individuals who enjoy a mix of desk‑based service and physical activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Assistance: Greet customers both inside the office and on the lot, answer questions, and guide them through the rental process with patience and professionalism.
  • Technology‑Driven Rentals: Operate smartphone‑based arenaflex Scan tools to create rental agreements, track inventory, and process returns quickly and accurately.
  • Equipment Handling: Move, hook up, and position arenaflex trucks and trailers safely; perform routine cleaning, fluid checks, and visual inspections to keep the fleet in top condition.
  • Safety & Certification: Complete on‑the‑job training for propane filling, forklift operation, and equipment inspection through the arenaflex 1‑2‑3 Punch Certification Program.
  • Documentation & Billing: Prepare rental invoices, accept equipment returns, and reconcile any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Installation Services: Install hitches, trailer wiring, and other accessories as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing education via arenaflex University, staying current on product knowledge, safety protocols, and customer service best practices.
  • Team Collaboration: Support fellow associates with lot organization, inventory counts, and special projects to keep the center running smoothly.
  • Additional Duties: Perform any other tasks assigned by management that contribute to the overall success of the location.

Essential Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to help people.
  • Basic proficiency with smartphones and willingness to learn new software.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver equipment weighing at least 50 lb, either independently or with assistance.
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic environment that includes indoor and outdoor tasks, exposure to vehicle fumes, and occasional use of protective gear (gloves, goggles, masks).

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or customer‑service roles.
  • Familiarity with forklift operation or a willingness to become certified.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for inspecting and maintaining vehicles.
  • Experience using point‑of‑sale (POS) or inventory management systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, to meet guest demand.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Communication: Clear, courteous, and confident verbal interaction with guests of diverse backgrounds.
  • Problem‑Solving: Quick thinking to resolve rental issues, equipment concerns, or scheduling conflicts.
  • Attention to Detail: Accurate data entry, thorough equipment inspections, and precise documentation.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, walk long distances, and perform repetitive motions safely.
  • Team Orientation: Collaborative mindset that values the success of the entire location over individual tasks.
  • Technology Savvy: Comfort with mobile apps, barcode scanners, and basic computer functions.

Career Growth & Development Opportunities

arenaflex is committed to promoting from within. As you master the responsibilities of a Customer Service Representative & Lot Attendant, you can explore pathways such as:

  • Shift Lead or Assistant Manager: Oversee daily operations, mentor new hires, and manage staffing schedules.

  • Regional Operations Analyst: Transition to a data‑driven role focused on optimizing inventory, rental trends, and performance metrics.
  • Corporate Training & Development: Share your on‑the‑ground experience with new hires across the network through arenaflex University.

All growth tracks are supported by tuition reimbursement, mentorship programs, and access to industry certifications.
