As a Warehouse Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be at the nexus of data analytics, process engineering, and frontline customer interaction. Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, cleanse, and analyze operational data to uncover trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Map, document, and regularly update end‑to‑end warehouse processes using Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and other lean tools.
  • Independently identify process gaps, develop actionable recommendations, and lead the implementation of improvement initiatives.
  • Design and execute a comprehensive continuous improvement plan that aligns with arenaflex’s strategic objectives and delivers measurable value for customers.
  • Drive cross‑functional CI projects that target enhancements in safety, quality, delivery performance, cost efficiency, and employee development.
  • Manage high‑impact CI initiatives from concept through go‑live, ensuring they meet scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
  • Assess the effectiveness of CI initiatives, generate performance reports, and provide strategic input for future improvement cycles.
  • Support new warehouse start‑ups, retrofits, and expansions by contributing pricing analyses, certification support, and post‑implementation validation.
  • Identify automation opportunities, collaborate with engineering teams, and help integrate technologies such as AS/RS, conveyor systems, and robotics.
  • Maintain regular communication with account management and key customers to understand service expectations and translate them into operational actions.
  • Coach and mentor warehouse staff on CI, Lean, and Quality Assurance principles, fostering a culture of problem‑solving and ownership.
  • Apply engineering methodologies to optimize distribution and transportation operations, including slotting, labor planning, and layout design.
  • Supervise junior continuous improvement engineers and quality professionals, providing guidance, performance feedback, and career development support.
  • Participate in talent acquisition activities, including interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of CI‑focused team members.
  • Facilitate and execute Kaizen events, 5S initiatives, and other lean activities with a focus on rapid, sustainable results.
  • Produce regular dashboards and reports that track progress against site objectives, highlighting successes and areas for further attention.
  • Make strategic recommendations on inventory management and supply chain optimization to senior leadership.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (minimum 7 years of relevant experience) or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management (minimum 5 years of experience).
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Access, Excel (including Power Query, PivotTables, and advanced formulas), PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Lean & Six Sigma Skills: Demonstrated ability to develop and manage Leader Standard Work, Visual Management Systems, PDCA cycles, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and 5S/Workplace Organization. Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) is required.
  • Engineering & Data Analysis: In‑depth knowledge of slotting, warehouse utilization, labor planning, layout optimization, and metric development.
  • Process Improvement Experience: Proven track record of leading CI projects that deliver quantifiable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee development.
  • Communication & Influence: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear, compelling manner to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Preferred (Nice‑to‑Have) Qualifications

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau, and database programming (SQL, DAX).
  • Proficiency in warehouse design software (AutoCAD, Slot3D) and familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (e.g., Manhattan Scale) and Labor Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of material handling automation, including powered industrial trucks (PIT), racking systems, conveyor and sortation equipment, and AS/RS solutions.
  • Certifications such as Certified Production and Inventory Management (cPMP), ISO/QMS auditor, APICS CPIM, or SCPro.
