The Remote Control Systems Engineer Manager will be the technical backbone for a suite of automated material handling solutions, ranging from conveyor belts and sortation systems to robotic scanners and SCADA platforms. Your day‑to‑day duties will include:
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Direct and coordinate work activities for Control Systems Specialists and Leads to meet the objectives of the North America Customer Satisfaction teams.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Facility Operations, Process Design, Fulfillment Center (FC) Startup, Reverse Logistics, Procurement, and Safety teams to streamline MHE system enhancements and project rollouts.
- Control System Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Own the lifecycle of control hardware and software, including PLC/PC controllers, Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus, motor control systems, servo drives, variable frequency drives, and power distribution networks.
- Incident Management: Serve as the first‑line escalation point for hardware or control‑software issues, providing remote and on‑site diagnostics, rapid remediation, and post‑incident analysis.
- Performance Optimization: Conduct root‑cause analysis (RCA) and failure investigations, then implement corrective actions, process improvements, and targeted training to prevent recurrence.
- Technical Guidance: Mentor and coach Control Systems Specialists (CST) and Control Systems Leads (CSL) on best practices, emerging technologies, and compliance standards.
- Project Leadership: Lead capital projects for new technology installations, acting as the technical advisor for equipment vendors and parts suppliers.
- Documentation & Reporting: Produce detailed system health reports, performance metrics, and compliance documentation for internal stakeholders and external auditors.

Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
