Senior Project Manager, Construction & Development
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Senior Project Manager to oversee complex construction and development projects in the vibrant city of Miami, Florida, US . This pivotal role demands exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and a proven track record in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will manage all phases of the project lifecycle, from initial conception and feasibility studies through design, procurement, construction, and closeout. Responsibilities include developing comprehensive project plans, establishing project scope, defining deliverables, and managing budgets and schedules effectively. You will be responsible for coordinating and leading multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication. Risk management is a critical aspect of this role, requiring proactive identification of potential issues and the development of mitigation strategies. You will also be responsible for contract negotiation and administration, vendor management, and ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Regular reporting on project progress, financial performance, and key risks to senior management and stakeholders is essential. This position offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to shape significant development projects in a dynamic urban environment. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in project management within the construction and development industry. Proven experience managing large-scale commercial, residential, or mixed-use projects from inception to completion. In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, permitting processes, and contract management. Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management, cost control, and forecasting. Excellent leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and relevant reporting tools. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing remote work with on-site project oversight in Miami, Florida, US . Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
