Early Childhood Educator - Lead Preschool Teacher

Our client, a premier early learning center in San Diego, California , is seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Preschool Teacher to join their vibrant team. The Lead Preschool Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging, age-appropriate curriculum that fosters cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. You will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment where children can thrive and explore. Key responsibilities include planning daily activities, observing and assessing student progress, communicating effectively with parents about their child's development, and collaborating with fellow teachers and staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education. You will guide and mentor assistant teachers, ensuring consistent quality of care and education across the classroom. This role involves a hybrid work model, blending direct in-classroom instruction with remote administrative tasks and parent communication. We are looking for someone with excellent leadership qualities, a patient and warm demeanor, and a commitment to creating a positive learning experience. A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred, along with relevant teaching certifications and at least 3-5 years of experience in a preschool setting. CPR and First Aid certification are required. You will be instrumental in fostering a love of learning and ensuring a smooth transition for children entering their academic journey.
