Lead Curriculum Developer - STEM Education
Our client, a forward-thinking educational technology company dedicated to transforming STEM learning, is seeking an innovative and experienced Lead Curriculum Developer to join their talented team. This role is fully remote, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere within the US. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engaging and effective curricula for K-12 students, with a strong emphasis on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. As a Lead Curriculum Developer, you will spearhead the creation of comprehensive educational programs that align with national and state learning standards. This includes developing lesson plans, instructional materials, assessments, and digital learning modules. You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, instructional designers, educators, and software engineers to ensure that our curriculum is not only academically rigorous but also interactive, accessible, and aligns with the latest pedagogical research and technological advancements. Your work will directly impact thousands of students, fostering critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a lifelong love for STEM. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and revision of K-12 STEM curricula, ensuring alignment with relevant educational standards (e.g., NGSS, Common Core). Create engaging and effective instructional materials, including lesson plans, student activities, assessments, and digital resources. Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and pedagogical soundness. Work closely with instructional designers and multimedia specialists to develop interactive and multimedia-rich learning experiences. Conduct pilot programs and gather feedback from educators and students to inform curriculum improvements. Research and integrate current trends in STEM education, pedagogy, and educational technology into curriculum design. Develop assessment strategies and tools to measure student learning outcomes effectively. Manage curriculum development projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget. Provide training and support to educators on the effective implementation of the developed curriculum. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and learning platforms relevant to STEM education. Qualifications: Master's degree or Ph.D. in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, STEM field, or a related discipline. Minimum of 6 years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or educational content creation, with a focus on K-12 STEM. Proven experience leading curriculum development projects and teams. In-depth knowledge of K-12 STEM standards and best practices in pedagogy and instructional design. Experience developing digital learning content and familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS). Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment. Proficiency with standard office software and educational technology tools. Passion for improving STEM education and making learning accessible and engaging for all students.
