** We are currently seeking an experienced SIU Field Investigator to join our Texas Claims Department, working and traveling primarily throughout the State of Texas. The primary function of this role is to detect, deter, and investigate potential automobile insurance fraud. This position involves direct interaction with customers, including face-to-face interviews, thorough investigation of claims that present indicators of suspicious or fraudulent activity, and providing training to claims office personnel. The role requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, as well as the ability to make sound, independent decisions. Key responsibilities include:
- Securing written and recorded statements
- Conducting accident scene investigations
- Performing clinic investigations
- Conducting Examinations Under Oath (EUOs)
- Producing accurate, detailed, and timely investigative reports
This position requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while maintaining strong organizational and time management skills. Advanced computer proficiency is essential. Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3–5 years of experience working as an SIU Investigator for an auto insurance carrier
- Prior, hands-on experience in insurance fraud investigations
- Law enforcement investigative experience is a plus
- Proven ability to identify and combat organized fraud schemes
- Technical expertise in auto theft and bodily injury investigations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage fieldwork and travel
