For more information on the firm, visit www.alpineinvestors.com The Opportunity The Integration and Operations Support Technician plays a vital role in supporting and maintaining enterprise technology across Ascend’s member firms. This role is responsible for integrating business applications and infrastructure with Ascend’s enterprise architecture, developing subject matter expertise, creating clear and consistent documentation, and providing long-term operational support. With a strong focus on customer-centric delivery, the technician will manage incidents and service requests across all Ascend firms to ensure stable, secure, and high-performing technology experiences for end users. A solid understanding of how end-user devices interact within a Windows Active Directory environment, as well as experience with Entra ID and Microsoft Intune, is essential. The technician will apply industry best practices to ensure device compliance, configuration integrity, and operational readiness. In this role, you will:

  • Travel regularly to support firm data and infrastructure integration efforts, providing on-site technical support and coordination as needed
  • Deploy and maintain end-user hardware, including imaging and configuring laptops, desktops, phones, and mobile devices
  • Install and support business-critical applications on all supported devices
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, escalating as necessary while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate records of device lifecycles, ensuring all assets are properly tracked and documented
  • Utilize Microsoft Intune and related tools to manage devices, enforce configurations, and monitor compliance
  • Maintain on-site equipment inventory with at least 95% accuracy at all times
  • Create and maintain clear documentation for setup procedures, application configurations, troubleshooting steps, and site-specific guides to promote consistency and knowledge sharing
  • Coordinate with external technical vendors to resolve site-related issues in a timely manner
  • Collaborate closely with infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration of end-user systems within the broader enterprise architecture

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience providing remote and desk side end user support in the public accounting industry
  • Degree not required, but preferred along with certifications Strong background in managing cross-functional technology projects, preferably in private equity, professional services, or accounting industries
  • Proven ability to support Windows-based systems in domain-managed environments with proficiency in Microsoft Intune, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Windows Active Directory
  • Demonstrated success in customer-facing roles with a track record of excellent service delivery and user satisfaction
  • Comfortable working independently in dynamic environments; able to prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve issues quickly while maintaining strong documentation habits.
  • Strong understanding of end-user technology lifecycle—including imaging, device deployment, and inventory management
  • Willing and eager to travel regularly to firm locations for hands-on support and integration cutovers
  • Strong communicator and team collaborator with high emotional intelligence and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Degree not required, but preferred. Certifications (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA) a plus
