Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative on our Indiana Eligibility team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to a diverse range of clients, including Medicaid, SNAP, and TANF applicants, recipients, and other members of the community. You will be the primary point of contact for these individuals, responding to their inquiries, resolving issues, and providing information and support to ensure their needs are met.

Key Responsibilities

* Respond to inbound calls from clients, providing timely and accurate information and support to resolve their inquiries and issues

  • Utilize knowledge of Medicaid, SNAP, and TANF programs to provide accurate and up-to-date information to clients
  • Resolve client complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner, escalating complex issues to senior team members as needed
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, including notes and follow-up actions
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including eligibility specialists and program managers, to ensure seamless communication and support
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on program changes and best practices
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics, including call volume, resolution rates, and client satisfaction

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

  • 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a call center or healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve complex issues
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to pass a background check and maintain confidentiality of client information

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working with Medicaid, SNAP, or TANF programs

  • Knowledge of Indiana state and local government policies and procedures
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients who speak limited English
  • Experience working in a call center or customer service environment, with a strong understanding of call center software and technology
  • Certification in customer service, such as Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) or Certified Customer Service Manager (CCSM)
