What You'll Be Doing

As a part-time customer service representative, you'll be responsible for handling incoming customer support questions via live chat on businesses' websites and social media accounts. This may include:

  • Responding to customer inquiries about products, services, and orders
  • Resolving customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Providing product information, recommendations, and advice to customers
  • Collaborating with internal teams to resolve complex customer issues
  • Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and issues

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide exceptional customer service via live chat, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner

  • Work independently, following provided steps and instructions to ensure seamless customer support
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex customer issues and improve overall customer experience
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and issues
  • Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends to provide informed support to customers

Essential Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset

  • 10+ hours availability per week, with flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Reliable internet connection and a device able to access social media and website chat functions (phone, tablet, or laptop)
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

* Previous customer service experience, preferably in a call center or retail environment

  • Knowledge of e-commerce platforms and online shopping trends
  • Experience with live chat software and social media platforms
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills an asset
