Conservation Specialist
About the position The Conservation Specialist will perform job tasks in compliance with Bartlett safety programs and procedures. This role involves working with producers to analyze current agronomic practices and provide recommendations for improvement that align with their operations. The specialist will document and upload agronomic data into certified third-party quantification online platforms and report on sustainable outcomes to management and external customers, offering recommendations for continuous improvement. The position may also involve assisting with other program responsibilities as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform job tasks in compliance with Bartlett safety programs and procedures
- Work with producers to analyze current agronomic practices and knowledgeably provide recommendations for improvement that best align with their operation
- Document and upload agronomic data into certified third-party quantification online platforms
- Report on sustainable outcomes to all levels of management and external Customers, while providing recommendations for continuous improvement
- Help with other program responsibilities as necessary
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Crop Science or closely related field
- Achieve and maintain the General Certified Crop Advisor Certification
- Two to three years’ experience with a certified agronomic retailer
- Willing to travel to Bartlett’s US Midwest locations and work with producers
- Knowledgeable of computer operations; able to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Strong analytical skillset
- Capable of writing and orally presenting reports to all levels of management internally and external Customers
