• Salary: $26.46 - $31.73 per hour. (Hourly wage is determined based on relevant experience and prevailing market standards in candidate's location.)

Essential Functions As an Accountant at Core Growth Strategies, you will:

• Manage and deliver advanced accounting, tax, and advisory services to clients.
• Prepare for and execute period-end close activities—ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Address ad hoc client requests, delivering timely and thorough solutions.
• File sales and local tax returns accurately and on schedule.
• Map payroll data to financial accounts for accurate reporting.
• Support team members, including assistance with complex client or technical matters.
• Lead introductory meetings with clients, reviewing the Chart of Accounts (COA), Income, and COGS categories.
• Oversee book renovation and COA revamp projects as assigned.
• Review the work of bookkeepers (internal/external), providing guidance and training as needed.
• Document and improve internal and client-facing processes and procedures.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and forecasts.
• Manage software migration and integration.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
• Provide ongoing support to clients, answering accounting and financial questions through research and data interpretation.
• Assist with payroll processing and tax filings as required.

Education, Experience, and Skills Prior, recent employment in an Accounting or CPA firm handling multiple clients required Certified QB ProAdvisor or QB Advanced ProAdvisor preferred 3+ years’ experience in accounting (both cash and accrual basis) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred Ongoing commitment to professional development and industry engagement Work Environment & Scheduling We offer fixed/flex scheduling—most hours are during standard business times, but you can set 20% of your schedule to flex hours that fit your lifestyle.
