Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Support Associate, you will be responsible for:

  • Responding to incoming calls and chats from employees seeking EAP support in a timely and compassionate manner
  • Providing program information and assisting with appointment scheduling, ensuring that all communication follows HIPAA and confidentiality standards
  • Accurately documenting interactions in the system, maintaining a clear and concise record of all conversations
  • Escalating urgent concerns to licensed professionals as needed, ensuring that individuals receive the support they require
  • Supporting team collaboration with counselors and clinical support staff, fostering a culture of open communication and teamwork
  • Maintaining a calm, empathetic, and solutions-oriented approach in all interactions, providing a positive experience for employees and their families

Qualifications

To succeed as a Customer Support Associate, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or GED, with an Associate's degree preferred
  • At least 1+ years of customer service or healthcare experience, with a strong understanding of confidentiality and HIPAA regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Comfort with managing sensitive topics with discretion and empathy, maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions
