Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team and help us build and maintain our event-driven data pipelines on AWS. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AWS local event-driven services, such as Amazon EventBridge, AWS Lambda, and AWS Step Functions. They will also have experience with data engineering best practices, including data visualization, data quality, and data security. Additionally, the candidate should have experience with Python, NoSQL, and Kinesis.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain event-driven data pipelines on AWS
- Collaborate with partners to understand and define data requirements
- Perform data quality checks and monitoring
- Optimize data pipelines for execution and cost
- Stay up-to-date on the latest AWS advancements
- Develop and implement personalization algorithms using Python and Pydantic models
- Build and maintain DynamoDB tables and NoSQL databases
- Use Amazon Kinesis to collect, process, and analyze streaming data

What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)

What Will Give You an Upper Hand (Preferred Qualifications)
* Four-year degree in software engineering, data science, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering
- Strong understanding of AWS local event-driven services
- Experience with data visualization, data quality, and data security
- Experience with Python and serverless technologies
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with personalization, Python, Pydantic models, DynamoDB, and NoSQL
- Experience with Amazon Kinesis
