Experienced Chat Moderator – Remote Community Management and Moderation Specialist

We're seeking an experienced and passionate Chat Moderator to join our remote team and help us maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging environment on our official Discord server.

Job Description

As a Chat Moderator at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Discord community by enforcing our community guidelines, managing user behavior, and providing exceptional customer support. This is a part-time, remote position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of like-minded individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

* Moderating the chat of our official Discord server, ensuring that all interactions adhere to our community guidelines and rules

• Deleting messages that violate our community guidelines, including but not limited to:

+ Hate speech or discriminatory language + Spam or self-promotional content + Inflammatory or provocative comments

• Banning users who repeatedly violate our community guidelines, following a fair and transparent process
• Muting users who have violated our community guidelines, to prevent further disruptions
• Investigating reports made by users about potential rule violations, and taking appropriate action
• Collaborating with other team members to resolve complex issues and ensure a positive community experience
• Providing exceptional customer support to community members, responding to their queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Staying up-to-date with arenaflex's community guidelines and policies, and adapting to changes as needed

Qualifications:

* Must be 18 years of age or older

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of self-motivation and discipline
• Familiarity with Discord and online community management principles, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
