Job Summary

We're seeking a Temporary Customer Service Representative to join our team on a full-time, day shift basis (Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:30pm) for a 3-4 month temporary assignment. As a Temporary Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for handling incoming calls, resolving issues related to member eligibility, plan prescription benefits, and claim payment issues, as well as providing quality service and customer satisfaction through effective communication and education.

Key Responsibilities

* Handle incoming calls from members or patients to address issues related to: + Member eligibility + Plan prescription benefits + Claim payment issues + Patient services needs (e.g., updating billing information, establishing payment plans, resolving payment inquiries, or patient scheduling)

  • Provide quality service and customer satisfaction through effective communication and education
  • Utilize Epic EMR experience to navigate patient records and resolve issues efficiently
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and issues resolved
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues and ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance customer service skills and knowledge of medical insurance and billing processes

Essential Qualifications

* High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

  • Two years of customer service experience, preferably in a hospital or physician's office setting, specifically in laboratory services
  • Experience registering patients and handling high-volume calls in a call center environment (preferred)
  • Epic EMR experience (preferred)
  • Data entry skills and proficiency in using electronic medical records systems

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a medical receptionist or healthcare administrative role

  • Knowledge of medical insurance and billing processes
  • Familiarity with scheduling software and systems
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills (optional)

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

As a Temporary Customer Service Representative, you'll receive a competitive hourly rate of $20/hour. This is a temporary, full-time position with a 3-4 month assignment.
